I think Arsenal have a bunch to play for, 3rd is a lot better than 4th because CL qualifying round can be very tough sometimes. Also they could possible catch Spurs which I am sure would make them happy.
City not so sure.
So win all our games, hope Arsenal and Villareal win in the next week and we are golden.

Not saying it's likely but I can see Arsenal beating City.... Arsenal have been in better form away from home and will want to finish above Spurs, City will have travelled to Madrid and either have the disappointment of going out of the CL or the distraction of progressing to the final.
Haven't City only won one game against top 6 opposition this season!?

Arsenal play Villa in the last game which is a gimme. A big hope is Spurs do not beat Southampton earlier on Sunday. If they don't this will give a lift to Arsenal knowing that Spurs have to visit Newcastle on the last day, scrapping from relegation.

City really looked elsewhere both in selection and intensity. Keep them in the CL and I think they lose to Arsenal.
Also unless we win out not sure we catch Man U even if we beat them. Not sure they will drop other points.

then again, I've just looked at the premier league table and arsenal are not guaranteed are they? only one goal better off than man city. that would make the last weekend interesting if man city beat them. i'll be cheering on arsenal to beat them or nick a draw

irons, im not including 1-3 as they're safe and qualified. it may have affected those positions if one of those teams were still in Europe but im only going on us, the two manc teams, and Liverpool fighting for the two remaining places. im waffling like fuck, give me a slap

I think realistically 5th is achievable. I can't see City losing at home to Arsenal plus Stoke away to get 4th, they will not make it at all easy for us!

Read the regs; 1-4 is safe unless both win. Unless I misunderstanding what you are saying, which is very possible this morning.

Can't see that Man City team beating either Bayern or Atletico in the final personally.
In fact I can't even see them getting past a Ronaldo less Real in the first place, which doesn't help next weekend as they'll be going all out to beat Arsenal with bugger all else to play for.

from that telegraph link a few posts down.
all the italian sides have bombed out and man city & liverpool have done better than expected so our coefficients points are looking pretty healthy.

Hopefully good news for us going forward. The co-efficient has been doing well. There is a year though were Italy did really bad that will drop out soon.
But for this week
City can stay in an keep themselves occupied but the Yellow Submarine have to do the business at Anfield. For our sake.

On a slightly different note it looks like 4 champions leagues places are all but guaranteed for the next three seasons at least.
